Hi,
Since I published the latest Mission-X v2.0 plugin, I took the time to convert some of the older mission to the new format. This gave me the opportunity to further test the plugin and the documentation. Fortunately, there were few bugs then I hope to find, and I was able to further add some nice touches to the mission file reader, so now I'll be able to give each element another name, but the plugin will still read it correctly, for example: 3d_location, is an element that is not well formed in XML standard. An element should not start with a digit. So now you can use "3d_location" or "location_3d" element and the plugin will read it correctly. Other additions, added "title" attribute to the "step" element. so now the step name is derived from the "title" attribute and if it is empty, it will use the "name" attribute which is mandatory. I believe that in the following days I'll publish v2.01 of the plugin with the updates and correction to the documentation, which is important for designers. This is a nice application to test or write a mission file. One of the things I liked is the ability to feedback my XML based on XML Schema file (XSD), it is like a rule file that describes what can be defined in the file and what is not. It takes time to construct a good "XSD" file and I was working on one, until I accidentally override it. In any case, I'll upload soon the XSD file based on Mission-X v2.0x rules, you can update it if something is missing or correct/modify it to make it better. Then you can send me your version and I'll update the master file on this site. Until I'll prepare the files, Here is an example: |
AuthorCreation is something I always wanted to do. Since I'm not that good in painting/writing, I decided to contribute in programming. Archives
